Amara Raja organises wellness run (3K and 5K)for employees

Famous TV - ఆరోగ్యము / తిరుపతి : Tirupati, March 15, 2024: Amara Raja Group, $1.75 billion global conglomerate, organised a ‘Wellness Run’ for its employees in its sprawling campus at Renigunta in Tirupati. The mini marathon with the theme “My Wellness, My Responsibility” was aimed at generating awareness about wellness and wellbeing and encouraged employees to take up wellness seriously. Over the last few years, the Group has invested consistently to ensure wellness and wellbeing of the people in the plant and other locations across India. This program was part of the AR Buddy annual wellness events calendar that includes face to face counselling sessions, programs on financial management, de addiction from alcoholism and smoking, stress management, managing exam fear among employees' children, career counselling, yoga sessions, letters to family etc. The event saw more than 500+ employees participate in the 3 KM and 5 KM run. The marathon started with a small warm up session and medals distributed to all the participants in the end. While speaking about the event Ms. Sreedevi, Lead – Wellness and Wellbeing, Amara Raja Group, mentioned that “Amara Raja works closely and emotionally connects with its people to provide holistic wellness and wellbeing. We take special care to understand the needs of people and provide them support accordingly. The Women’s forum specifically addresses all issues of working women and it empowers to support and nurture each other. People’s health and wellness are extremely important for us and we also collaborate with external partners to provide a world class environment where people work with less stress and grow happily.” The Group plans to make this a regular event along with many other sports and cultural activities that are conducted.
